Dr. Laux is a dynamic presenter, having led over 200 educational sessions across 28 states. He is sponsored by Hal Leonard, D’Addario, and Eastman Strings.
Dr. Laux has been active as a rehearsal clinician, sectional coach, and guest conductor in Georgia within the Cobb County, Fulton County, Gwinnett County, and Atlanta Public school systems.
Adjudicator
Dr. Laux has served as an adjudicator for several large festival companies (Music in the Parks, etc.) and as an adjudicator for the Clark County School District (Las Vegas) Advanced High School Festival, the Fairfax County Schools, and more. He is also an adjudicator for the prestigious Worldstrides Festivals of Gold.
Career Counselor
Dr. Laux has had a diverse career as a string teacher/orchestra director having taught in four different states as a private teacher, a public school orchestra director (from elementary through high school), and also served a full-time, tenure-track college professor. He is available to advise other string teachers in making important career choices or can give advice to those who may be deciding to move schools or relocate.

Violinist/Violist
Having played the violin for over 40 years, Dr. Laux performs professionally as a freelance musician in the greater Atlanta area. His previous orchestral experiences include performances with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the Nevada Chamber Orchestra, and others. He has a great deal of experience performing in chamber music settings, most recently with the Columbus String Quartet.
Audio Recording
Dr. Laux has spent considerable time learning and perfecting the art of audio recording bands, choirs, and orchestras. He is available to record concerts, recitals, and adjudicated events.
